Brands pin hopes on young heroes of Indian cricket

NEW DELHI: Indian cricket is on a Twenty20 high and suddenly a bevy of brands, some first-timers to cricket, are discovering virtues of signing cricketers as brand endorsers. The troika of Indian cricket — Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid — may be legends in their own right, but as MS Dhoni and his men lifted the Twenty20 Cup for India, the choice for marketers has certainly widened.
