Market weak after positive opening

MUMBAI: Key Indices opened on a positive note Monday backed by strong global cues. Despite firm gains in Bharti Airtel and Reliance Industries, profit booking in the tier II and tier II stocks weighed down the market.
At 10:05 am, the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty was down 9 points or 0.17 per cent at 5177. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s Sensex was just 34 points higher at 17,807.13. Biggest Sensex gainers were HDFC Bank (up 1.9%), BHEL (1.37%), HDFC (1.22%), Grasim Industries (1.02%) and Reliance Industries (0.85%).
